The New Build / Technology department is, together with the New Build Commercial / Purchasing department, responsible for the construction of decentralised generation facilities from about 10 to 250 MW. It prepares tendering documents on the basis of demand orientated power station concepts, and carries out quotation negotiations, evaluation and orders with plant suppliers. The plants are realised in multi-contract or turn-key schemes, depending on the market and the project.

The project controlling, the onsite construction management and the quality assurance also belongs to the departments tasks, from the construction phase via commissioning up to acceptance of the whole plant, including monitoring budgets and deadlines. In addition, the department has the appropriate know how in the planning, coordination and monitoring of the licensing process.
