Amata Power Bang Pakong Combined Cycle Cogeneration Plant
The AMATA POWER GROUP operates several power stations in Thailand for local energy generation. The main recipient by far is an industrial park 50 km away from Bangkok. Any excess energy is supplied to the national electricity grid. The combined cycle cogeneration plants Amata Power 1 (commissioned in 1998) and 2 (commissioned in 2001) have outputs of 170 and 110 MW of electricity and 25 and 20 MW thermal output respectively. A predecessor company of E.ON Energy Projects was the main strategic partner in this projects and thus responsible for the development, realisation and operational management as a shareholder. Among other things we provided the power station management and trained the power station personnel. Because Asia is not a core market for E.ON any more the stake has been sold.
