Meggle Wasserburg Combined Cycle Cogeneration Plant
The contract for this project was signed with the Meggle dairy in Wasserburg in 1998 and the power station started operations in 2000.
The existing power station, which had 2 boilers and a steam turbine, was supplemented by a gas turbine with an output of 6 MWel and a heat recovery boiler. The old power station is also used as back up if bottlenecks occur. A predecessor company of E.ON Energy Projects was responsible for the construction engineering of this project (tendering, award of contracts, approvals etc.) i.e. the whole technical side of the construction phase.
The plant is currently owned by E.ON Bayern.
