As part of an energy contracting project a paper factory and a district heating network in Raubling-Redenfelden are supplied with 22 MW of electricity and 67 MW of thermal energy since February 2001.
The already existing heating power station was taken over and was developed into a combined cycle cogeneration plant by the addition of a gas turbine with a heat recovery steam generator and a steam turbine.
A predecessor company of E.ON Energy Projects was responsible for the whole tendering and contract award process, took over the project management from construction to handover and coordinated the whole approvals process. The plant has since been bought back by the customer.
