Wacker Burghausen Combined Cycle Cogeneration Power Plant
Burghausen power station (Bavaria), which started operations in 2001, supplies Wacker Chemie GmbH (whose activities include silicon and semi-conductor production) with 120 MW of electricity and 350 t/h of process steam. The existing power station was taken over by EEP as part of an M&A deal.
EEP took over operational management of the plant on site and coordinates the commercial and technical operations of the power station company in close cooperation with the customer. The shift personnel from Wacker monitors the plant. The whole Wacker site is supplied with electricity by the project company and any excess electricity produced is marketed.
