LEIPA Schwedt Recycled Material Power Plant

EEP has developed an innovative technical and commercial energy concept for LEIPA Georg Leinfelder GmbH to cover part of the long term energy requirements at its location in Schwedt/Oder (Brandenburg), cost efficiently and in an environmentally friendly way.

In order to do this, a solid fuel boiler plant will be energetically utilised using recycled material from the paper production on site as well as additional refused derived fuel from the surrounding region. The core of the plant will be a circulating fluidised bed boiler with a combustion heat output of 136 MW. The extraction of the condensing turbine can make available a total of 125 t/h of process steam.

EEP is responsible for the whole tendering, purchasing and implementation process. The project company (a subsidiary of E.ON Energy from Waste AG) assigned EEP for the construction of the whole plant as well as the planning and coordination of the approvals process.

The plant will be operated by E.ON Energy from Waste.
